Barbara Crane: Private Views Limited-Edition Box Set
In the early 1980s, armed with a Super Speed Graphic camera and Polaroid film, Barbara Crane embarked on a photographic project shot during Chicago’s various summer festivals. The images in Private Views (2009) are tightly cropped terrifically alive, viscerally bringing the viewer into the crush of people eating, drinking, and enjoying the crowd—an incredible inventory of private gestures performed in public space.
This specially designed, slipcased edition of Private Views is accompanied by a limited-edition archival pigment ink print of a photograph from the book, made under the supervision of the artist by Gotham Imaging, New York.
Each limited-edition print is hand-packed with great care and ships from New York within 3–5 days.
