Its sleek studio-style epitomizes Haeni’s background of studying at the Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL), which has developed a very strong presence in contemporary European photography, best described as Swiss with a playful twist: graphically impactful, somewhat absurd—International Style meets Fischli & Weiss. About the Artist

Nicolas Haeni (b. 1984, Switzerland) has a bachelor’s degree in photography and a master’s degree in art direction and photography. Haeni won the Voies Off Prize, Arles, in 2010. In 2012, he co-founded the collective Moos-Tang with Thomas Rousset. His work has been published in magazines such as Aperture, Openlab, Form, and Neon Magazine.
